The NIH health-professional fact sheet on biotin records that very high intakes of biotin can interfere with laboratory assays that use biotin-streptavidin technology, including tests for thyroid hormone and 25-hydroxyvitamin D, and it records a death following a troponin test that returned a falsely low result because of biotin interference. The documented figures in that fact sheet are at 10 mg, twice what is in this product, and we are not going to tell you 5 mg has been shown to do the same.
